Launching a Startup to Fame and Fortune

Theresa led the marketing efforts at Accrue from the very beginning. As employee #8, she positioned this unknown start-up in the growing market for Web site analysis software. Theresa's marketing vision on a shoestring budget earned Accrue a recognized leadership position in the high end, and ultimately, a place among FORTUNE Magazine's "Top 25 Cool Technology Companies" in 1997, going from complete obscurity to "cool" in less than one year.

The net result was creation of demand for high-end site analysis software and a jump-start in the business for Accrue, which successfully went public about 18 months later.
